Creativity,and inspiration..

I can't believe I'm posting twice this week, go me!!!
I was just sitting her, after just finishing my art challenge entry.....

already, I'm pondering my next project..I always have ideas, swirling and my head,am i nuts? could be the case..lol 

I was just wondering where other people find their inspiration ,

is it all in your head, or do you need some physical reference?

 I find both helpful, I love to check out , youtube, pinterest, or instagram out, for reference materials, tips, tricks.

sometimes, there's a color ,or a new art supply, i want to play with.

I am trying to venture out of my comfort zone more these days, it's always easy to just doodle the same 'ol stuff..but I'm realizing I could do soo much more! 

All of a sudden my art has become exciting to me again, could maybe even venture into "fun", rather than just to relax, or because I'm bored.

I need to keep this new creativity going., so I think there will be a lot more ..Doodling till Dawn!

 

 

 

Here I am.....

Well,I decided that I'd better get busy on my next post!
It really is hard starting out to try to get into the habit!
sssoooo..what have i been up to?
 well i have finished a few new pieces, I started a twitter account,though, I'm really not sure i feel like I'm a "tweeter".
joined this great ,new(to me) art community, The Art Colony,http://community.art-is-fun.com/
if you like art, and looking to check out some great art, have some good discussions,make new friends,the members are super friendly!
The art colony also has challenges,and stuff, so that may fuel the inspiration..who knows! lol

I've had photo's of my new pieces taken for a bit, but wasn't until last night that I finally got around to getting them all cropped,edited, etc..
  I also designed a new "better", though,I'm not sure if it is "the" logo..but I'm sure someone, may be dying to see..lol....
I would LOVe any comments, maybe even some suggestions for future artwork, no promises..






This one was inspired because, I love eyes, and flowers, soo just seemed like something to do.

I like how the colors pop,it does have a pretty crazy background, but i thought it was different, and i always love adding detail!This was colored entirely in marker, which is why the color is so great!



 
This picture was totally inspired when i was thinking about my upcoming tattoo, I love all the details in this piece, I can always manage to doodle some paisleys,I love how the roses came out.

I really love how the colors in this picture cam together.I spent many hours detailing this one. I thought my "whimsical" birds were cute!

 This one is not much for background, it's all about detail work, with them being, only.4mm pens..i have at least 15 hours into this one, it's only 8x10. I do believe this one is going to live in my daughters room,as it looks amazing there, it's always hard to give away my art,  I get pretty attached, does anyone else find that, with their artwork?


well..I guess that's it for today, I really am going to try to post at least once  a week..or as i finish a piece of artwork, questions are always welcome! until nextime....

Getting to know me & what's in your"Art Stash"?

I've been pretty busy the last couple days though, you couldn't tell if you looked at my house!
 Since I decided to give this blog a go, there has been so much prep work..
oh well , I just hope I find a few friends.
 This is just the start of my long term goal..which would ideally be to have a following and perhaps be able to sell a lil bit of my art!

 In any case,
I have been reminded how much work this online business is,and how much things change in a few years..
I used to create and sell Digital Scrap booking supplies at various online shops, but after a few years I realized, I am not a graphic artist..i love the feel of a pen in my hand, watching my creations unfold on paper, no need for such technical bits as vector objects! nothing personal, I am just not trained to do such art..and trust me self teaching, even in the age of "you tube",can be a long road!

what else may you want to know.....Hmmmmm...I'm in my later 30's,Happily Married, to my best friend, Stay at home mom,to 2 amazing kids!
 If you haven't figured it out, I love art, anything creative, Photography is a close second, but no pro at that either..but I love to capture those special moments in time, with my family! so, I have a feeling i may share some of that with you as well.

soo... Where to start,

Ink Addicted

I know, I have a lot, I'm a bit of a horder..lol!
I love trying new things, I always have to incorporate black ink..it's just not my style without it!
I used to always only draw in pen, loved the contrast of the black and white!

The last few months, i have been expanding my style to include color, as well as expanding my subject matter. I love anything with pattern, anything floral, and paisley's! here are a few of my pieces:

I have grown really fond of watercolor pencils, i love the soft feel,and the how the colors blend.  also, love "sharpies, and alcohol based markers, they have great saturation of color. I do on occasion use pencil crayons, or water based markers, depends on my mood!

I also have a pretty vast collection of paper ATM,trying to figure out which paper is best for my artwork.
I guess that is about it..I'm really interested to hear about any kind of art, anyone else is into..And of course to hear about which media is "your Fav!!!""

A lil Bit more like me

Guess I'm a lil bit rusty, but the new header is at least a lil bit more me!!

gives you a feel for my style, which I would classify as maybe whimsical Zen...lol..meaning it feels good to  just let go, relax,unwind, and see where it takes you..Things don't always have to be super real, or perfect, it's true beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder.
I'm not quite sure, where this Blog will take me either..
maybe, I'll find a few friends who want to explore their creativity with me,maybe like a weekly challenge or something.. until then..keep doodling!!

Kinda Crazy....

So here it is, once again thinking about trying to blog, problem is I never have too much to say about myself. I got thinking that I should start a Blog all about my art, I'm just a simple girl, with too much time on her hands, and a thirst for all things creative!
 Most people probably think it's pretty silly at almost 40 to be spending so much time "doodling", but it centers me..
I have nothing to show you yet, as it has been awhile since, I actively used Blogger, or any photo hosting sites, so I guess I need to start there!
